I know I'm supposed to work on a different Ya3 layout for someone else, but I wanted to try this first. ^^; (don't worry
harunomasu, yours is on its way!)
Live preview HERE.
Instructions
1. Go to Customize Journal.
2. Switch to S2.
3. Under "Select a New Theme", type "Flexible Squares" in the Search box.
4. Click "Apply Theme" directly underneath the first search result.
5. Scroll down to "Choose a Page Setup", and click "Apply Layout" under "2 Column (sidebar on left)".
6. Click the button that says "Customize Selected Theme".
7. Scroll down to navigation strip and uncheck the two boxes. Or, if you'd prefer to keep the navigation strip I'd suggest using the light gray gradient cuz it looks better with the layout.
8. Click "Text" on the left. You can change what links and things say here, like if you want to put "members" instead of "friends" or w/e on the navigation (the website link you put in the profile page also shows up on the navigation though not listed here. I suggest putting the 'rules' link as that website instead of just the link to the community). You can also change what the comments say; I based it on Te wo Tsunaide Yukou but you can put what you want.
9. Click "Sidebar" on the left. Here you can decide what you would like to be displayed in the sidebar. You can choose any number or combination of these to be displayed. I changed the "blurb" to "about" and wrote the little paragraph you have for that for the community. I also made the titles all lowercase because I'm picky like that. XD; Also, make sure you put "yes" for what you want to display on the sidebar.
10. "Links List" on the left can be used to customize the links. I just put the Ya3 members names and linked to their communities, but you can put what you want.
11. Click "Custom CSS" on the left. Change "Use layout's stylesheet(s)" to Yes. This is extremely important!
12. Copy and paste this into the the Custom stylesheet box and click "Save Changes":
And voila! Everything should work. Let me know if there's any problems with it!
Oh, and for credits, you can put "Current layout by
fahlyu, stylesheet by
refuted" in the profile page. ^^ If you want I can make a profile page too, or banners for it or something. *is in Ya3 graphics mood* :D
